Privacy

This page says what sightwick.com stores about you, why, for how long, and what you can ask us.

What this website stores

When you send us a form on /start or /call, we store what you typed: your domain, your name, your email address, your phone number if you gave one, the number of sites, a preferred time if you gave one, and your message.

Our server keeps access logs with IP addresses for 30 days, to keep the site running and to spot abuse. After 30 days they are deleted.

This site is measured with Sightwick itself, the way a customer's site is. A banner asks you first. Say no, or say nothing, and your visit is counted without an identifier: no cookie, no ID, no click ID, and nothing leaves to an ad platform. Say yes and your visit gets an ID so we can see which page brought you to the form. Your answer is kept in your browser's local storage under one key, sw-consent, and you can change it through the Measurement link in the footer. There is no other analytics service and no ad pixel on sightwick.com.

Why

We use the form data for one thing: to add your domain, run the scan and call you to go through what it found. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for anything you did not ask for.

How long

If your request leads to a trial or a contract, we keep the data until that trial or contract ends. If it leads nowhere, we delete it 12 months after your request.

Who

Sightwick is run by Sightwick, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 88503402, at Amstelhof 77, 2262 EG Leidschendam, the Netherlands. For anything on this page, email info@sightwick.com.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time:

Email us and we answer within a month. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

What the product does on a customer's site

Sightwick counts conversions on the sites of our customers: quote requests, phone clicks and similar events. A visitor who declines the cookie banner is counted without an identifier and never reaches an ad platform. Only with the visitor's consent does a conversion carry the click that sent it, and only when the customer has switched sending on. The customer is the controller of that data; this page is about sightwick.com itself.
